Who we are
Nelson Industrial Arts (“NIA,” “we,” “us”) is an artist-led industrial arts studio. This policy covers both this website and the private internal software tools we use to run our own business.
This website
This site is a static marketing website. It does not have user accounts, does not collect logins, and does not sell or share personal information. If you email us using the address shown on the site, we use your message only to respond to your inquiry.
Our internal QuickBooks integration
NIA uses a private, internal software tool that connects to our own QuickBooks Online company to help us read and organize our own bookkeeping. This tool is used solely by Nelson Industrial Arts for its own financial records. It is not a product or service offered to anyone else, and it has no other users.
The tool is intentionally limited:
- It accesses only the QuickBooks accounting data of our own company, with our explicit authorization.
- It reads transactions and reports and can categorize expenses in our own books. It never moves money - it cannot pay bills, transfer funds, or send invoices.
- Financial data stays on our own machine and within our own QuickBooks account. We do not sell, rent, or share it, and we do not use it for advertising.
- We request only the QuickBooks accounting permission scope - nothing related to identity, contacts, or payments.
Data retention & security
Access credentials for the QuickBooks integration are stored locally on our own equipment and are never published or shared. We keep business records for as long as needed to operate the company and meet legal and tax obligations.
